Yesterday I was nominated to write a poem by Punk Rock Papa with these rules.
The rules are as follows:
•Write about love using only 10 lines.
•Use the word love in every line.
•Each line can only be four words long.
•Nominate others who are up for the challenge.
•Let them know about the challenge.
•Title the post: Love in Ten Lines
•Include a quote about love (this can be your own).
•You may write in any language.
Today I am using those rules to write the dream I had a few nights ago. Only I wrote the poem before realizing I could only use 4 words per line so I guess you get two versions. The one I wrote and the second one I summarized into four words per line lol. Sorry but ya know… I don’t follow rules very well.
Love is friendship that has caught fire. It is quiet understanding, mutual confidence, sharing and forgiving. It is loyalty through good and bad times. It settles for less than perfection and makes allowances for human weaknesses. ~Ann Landers
SECRET LOVE by Hastywords
Her love penetrated all your shadows with light
Causing your unsuspecting heart to beat off center
Your lips thirsting for a new love we couldn’t feel
Searching her breath for a love that wasn’t yours
But you didn’t care because love always feels right
So love got folded up inside her hands and arms
Holding its traces carefully inside her lovely smile
Her eyes betraying the love you created in secret
While loving laughter painted the silent masquerade
Of your life getting lost inside all her loving charms
LOVE IN TEN LINES by HastyWords
Her love penetrated you
With broken crooked love
A thirsty unsatisfying love
Sordid love of sadness
Stolen breath kinda love
And her love left
An empty angry love
Love mixed with pills
Love drank with booze
Leaving love of death
