I suppose it’s true

I am not good enough for you

I need love

And I am not getting it from you

I will set you free

Because you’ve bound yourself

To the Hell you see in me

I cut all the bandages off

That have hidden all our wounds

And once the blood stops

Congealing in ugly mountains

Upon the surfaces of our skin

I am sure we will once again

See the smiles we used to see

We’ve spent years on the ground

Fallen from the sky

That was once so open and free

And now it’s time we find a way

To mend our wings

And find the electricity

That once gave us life

That once helped us see

There was something more

Than the loneliness

We’ve been feeling inside
