NATURE’S BATTLE

The stepping stones were broken

Riddled cracked canyon arteries

Long ago tossed over cranky edges

And left on landscapes far below

By rivers and streams and undertows

Interrogated day in and day out

For many decades into centuries

By atmospheric emotional overflows

Meadows laced with speckled gray

Cities taken over and orchestrated

Ruins made much more comfortable

Heated mountains rising up and up

An army of stone strategically set

To battle the ocean and its uprising

Their allies earth’s core and the sun

There is hope…

There is hope…

  1. A little wild mountain thyme and purple heather, your world walks in days where slow too, an evening’s fog clears as Sun rises and brother morning breezes wake, to sing of a love to kin and fellow folk.
